Placing orders
Kismet requires that catering orders are placed at least 24 hour prior to your event. For larger functions or specialised requirements we require at least 72 hours notice.
Amendments
Additions or amendments to placed orders must be received at least 24 hours prior to the function. Certain additions or amendments may not be available at short notice.
Cancellation
Cancellations of functions/large group catering must be received within 5 working days. If cancellation is not made within this timeframe, the client will forfeit the deposit (if applicable).
Our cancellation requirements:
Orders less than $500 – 48 business hours
$500 to $1000 – 72 business hours
Over $1000 – 5 working days
Cancellation inside these times above will be subject to cancellation charges equal to costs that have been incurred in regards to food, labour or other services.
Pricing
All prices quoted are inclusive of GST. All prices are correct as at the time of publishing, however these prices may be changed at any time. Every effort will be made to ensure quotations are correct at time of request. However, prices may be subject to change without notice to meet rises in catering costs. Due to seasonal or supplier shortages Kismet reserves the right to alter or adapt menus or services.
Deposit
For any function over $1,000 a deposit of 50% will be required at the time of confirmation, with the balance due on the day the goods are supplied. For functions between $200–$1,000, a 30% deposit is required at the time of confirmation and the balance due on the day of delivery/pick up.
Delivery for functions
Kismet will provide free delivery to all functions of $200 or more within Manuka and surrounding suburbs (Barton, Griffith, Narrabundah, Kingston, Yarralumla, Forrest, Red Hill, Deakin. A delivery fee for catering outside the suburbs mentioned above will apply. Please note cold orders may be delivered within 1 hour prior to the specified delivery time. Hot orders will arrive within 10 minutes of the specified time. If access to your premises is not available at the time of delivery, our staff will telephone the contact person to arrange a second delivery time which may result in a delivery fee.
Payment
Payment may be made by credit card over the phone, cheque or cash.
Refund policy
As all products at Kismet are cooked on the premises and not mass-produced, it is possible that a particular dish is out of stock at the time of your on-line ordering. If payment has been processed but delivery cannot occur or items not available, you will be contacted immediately and be advised of the missing item or delay in delivery, and given the option of a replacement item or a full or partial refund (for example you may get a full refund if you choose to cancel your order altogether or a partial refund if the value of the replacement item is less than that initially ordered). Such a refund can be credited back to your credit card if this is your preferred option.
Privacy policy
At Kismet, we are committed to protecting your privacy. The information you share helps us provide the best products and service possible. When you order we may require specific information to complete your order. Some of this information includes name, billing and delivery addresses, phone number and credit card information. We handle this information in a secure, confidential manner.
After a sale has been processed all credit card details are discarded and not stored on our premises. Kismet does not share, sell or trade with third parties your personal information. This privacy policy may be modified. Future modifications to this policy will be posted on our website.
